GLOBAL WARMING (Bandung is getting hot)

 “Global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises).  It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature”. 

But for me global warming is result of human error, Each person definitely contributed in the global warming,deliberate or accidentally. And now we can see all impact from our mistaked to our psychologicsl,social,or environmental. but now i will explain about environmental impact on my city,Bandung.

“when mom was young,bandung so cold if we spoke our mouth will smoke like on winter in Europe and the water also very cold like melted ice” that is my mother opinion,my mom said if bandung was very cold and so different with this time

On the last holiday I went to my grandma’s house in serang banten,in there I was notice if serang,a city surrounded by sea is almost have same temperature with bandung. And then I went to Jakarta,the temperature of that city is resamble with bandung . I’m so wondering, how can serang and Jakarta has same temperature with bandung? Whereas bandung is a highland?

On Tuesday 6^th September 2011,I checked a wheater site and got if Jakarta has a temperature of 31⁰C ,Banten 33⁰C,and Bandung 34⁰C.Mr.Drs.H.Hendri Subakti.S.Si,the chairman of BMG office said average maximum temperature of Bandung was increased to 2 degrees celcius in the last 20 years "if 20 years ago,average maximum temperature of Bandung always under 30 degrees,in this year has reached 31 degrees"he said.Climate Change Expert Faculty of Earth Sciences and Mineral Technology of ITB, Mr.Dr.Armi Susandi.M.T said,"basically,the increas temperature occured world wide due to global warming.whitin the next 100 years,earh's temperature is estimated to rise 4-5 degrees celcius.Lodging in the Bandung city,the increase is much greater." Based on the expert opinion,bandung city which surrounded by mountains threatened will be more hot if does'nt any countermeasures. The countermeasure can be done in the following way:

"Offset Development"

A mall or other public suggestions advice is not wrong, but there must be a balance with nature.Not to damage the nature,like planting many trees in around the development areas,besides for keeping the nature,the trees also can be decorate the development areas,creating an open area and reduce the use of air conditioning.

"Self-Conscius"

 Each individual must be aware of the mistakes made by himself,trying to fix it and apply it directly on the environment,like not doing the little things which can be directly adverse impact on the environment (not wearing plastic,not throwing away garbage/waste into the river,not wearing perfume spray and hairsparay,wearing AC,etc)
